    NEW for 2026-2027

We are excited to announce that the

Church in the Gardens Nursery School two’s program is being renamed the

    CITG P.L.A.C.E. Program

P.L.A.C.E. stands for Play, Literacy, Action, Creativity, and Enrichment. The program is designed to give families a meaningful place to connect and learn alongside their two-year-old through engaging routines and hands-on experiences. Literacy serves as the foundation for all activities, with teachers guiding children and caregivers through interactive learning experiences.

    The P.L.A.C.E. Program combines:

    • Literacy-based learning
    • Hands-on exploration and active play
    • Socialization opportunities
    • Developmentally appropriate enrichment activities
    • Consistent routines that build confidence and independence

An active caregiver is required to attend each 1.5-hour class with their child. The program is designed to support both children and the adults in their lives, creating a shared learning experience for families.

Our curriculum is designed to address the multiple intelligences of each student and supports every child as he/she becomes a successful, lifelong learner.

    Curriculum

We offer an inclusive, culturally responsive program that celebrates diverse backgrounds and experiences; a print-rich learning environment; hands-on, developmentally appropriate small-group and large group instruction; incorporate music and movement; and support both fine and gross motor development. We also encourage kindness, empathy, and respect for others by teaching children age-appropriate social and emotional skills that help prepare them for elementary school.

    Facilities

Our comfortable and air-conditioned classrooms are organized into learning centers that provide a variety of opportunities for creativity, exploration, and discovery. Children have access to developmentally appropriate toys, puzzles, games, and arts and crafts—as well as a library, math/science centers, painting easel, sand/water table and dramatic play area.

We provide an indoor gym program and outdoor play areas to support physical well-being, as well as to provide hands-on instruction as our students learn the important skill of following directions. All activities are well supervised by our professional and qualified staff members.

We have received awards for our high quality child care program.
