Pre-K For All Fall 2021 Informational Meeting

    The Church in the Gardens welcomes you to join us for a general information session to be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, March 9th at 7PM.

    Families will need to email nurseryschool@thecitg.org with the subject line Pre-K For All Fall 2021 Meeting in order to obtain the zoom link for the meeting.


    CITG Full Day Pre-k for 2021-2022 School Year

    The full day program will run 9AM-3:20PM

    Families with children born in 2017 can apply to pre-K by the April 7 deadline. Families can apply online at MySchools.nyc, or over the phone by calling 718-935-2009. Translation and interpretation services are available through both application pathways. Families can visit nyc.gov/prek for more information.

    Enrollment goes through the DOE only.


    Now Enrolling students for pre-k 2020-2021

    Apply for openings in our remote learning program or waitlist for our blended learning.

    Students must turn 4 by 12/31/2020 to enroll.

    All medicals and vaccinations required to be up to date including an influenza vaccination by 12/31/2020.

    Our early childhood programs at The Church in the Gardens are consistent with research that supports learning through play and center-based activities. Our curriculum is designed to address the multiple intelligences of each student and supports every child as he/she becomes a successful, lifelong learner.

  • Curriculum

    We offer a diversified, multicultural program; a print-rich environment; hands-on, developmentally-appropriate small group instruction; a music/movement program that promotes fine and gross motor skills; and reinforced acceptance of others by teaching the basic strategies for coping with issues that may arise when our students enter elementary school.


    We strive to provide continuity of live instruction. There are only a few days anticipated to be asynchronous learning.


    Our comfortable and air-conditioned classrooms are organized into learning centers that provide a variety of opportunities for creativity, exploration, and discovery. Children have access to developmentally appropriate toys, puzzles, games, and arts and crafts—as well as a library, math/science centers, painting easel, sand/water table and dramatic play area.


    We provide an indoor gym program and outdoor play areas to support physical well-being, as well as to provide hands-on instruction as our students learn the important skill of following directions. All activities are well supervised by our professional and qualified staff members.
